About this renovation
This quaint home required an extra space for guests. The attic and garden were identified as the two key areas to rescue this space from.
The entire attic was gutted and replaced with a bedroom and storage area. Due to limited room on the landing for a pull down staircase, a beautiful spiral staircase was fitted. An addition that really matched the feel of the home.
The overgrown garden was pulled up and paved with brick. This new outdoor flooring ensures the space can be used all year round, regardless of the weather.
A new and energy-efficient stove replaced the old fireplace and surrounding mantle. This has resulted in better heating of the home, and provides a rustic touch.
To cater for guests, a new kitchen was fitted. The counters received a wood finish, while the cupboards were decorated with a marble handle.
